Pedaletas are the cool pedal boats available for rent in the summer. Some come with slides attached while others are shaped like cars. Both equal fun.
We rented ours for 14 euros/hour at Playa del Postiguet, Alicante’s beach, just off the Explanada. They are also available in San Juan and El Campello (price may vary). Maximum capacity 4.

The aventure starts right away as you push the pedaleta into the sea. We were lucky and had a majorly windy day, some might not think that’s a good thing. We chose one with a slide of course, another factor that added to its amazingness. Alicante has the perfect sea for this type of activity even considering the wind we had, we still felt safe. I imagine it would be ok for children (I would recommend life vests) as long as there are adults to pedal. Not gonna lie, it was a workout. If you get sea sick you should probably skip this.
The best part was jumping off the slide or side of the boat, coming up from the salty water and looking at the beach with the castle in the background. It could not have been better.
